1. Consultation and Planning
When you come to a consultation at New Life Cosmetic Surgery Center, Dr. Lee will examine you and determine if you are a candidate for Bodytite. This treatment doesn’t replace skin excision treatments after pregnancy or massive weight loss – if you have a large amount of loose skin, a tummy tuck or other skin excision may benefit you. This treatment can be used on most all areas of the body and is great for patients who might have loose skin after liposuction.
2. Procedure
You will arrive at the office in the morning and be home in the afternoon. This surgery is always done with IV conscious sedation and NOT general anesthesia. Thus you will sleep through the entire procedure but be breathing on your own. You do not need to be intubated.
3. Recovery
Bodytite treatment does not add additional recovery to liposuction. Most people have some discomfort after surgery similar to a bruise feeling. This is easily taken care of with pain medicine which will be prescribed for you by Dr. Lee. You will be wrapped in compression bandages after the procedure which will help decrease the swelling. There will be some bruising which goes away over the next few days
Bodytite provides some skin tightening and most patients don’t see the skin tightening until 2-3 months. The tightening effect will continue to improve over then next 12 months as the collagen becomes tighter and the skin rejuvenates.
Remember that everyone is different. Recovery times and progression is not the same for everyone. The times stated are typical for healthy individuals healing from this surgery. The normal progression of healing may be different for those with health problems, smokers, and those who have unforeseen complications after surgery.
4. Results
A Bodytite procedure will tighten your skin from the inside without any large scars. You will feel look great in your clothes and bathing suits. Individual results may vary.
