1. Consultation and Planning
When you come to a consultation at New Life Cosmetic Surgery Center, we will examine you and determine if you are a good candidate for laser hair removal. Celina will discuss how the treatment works and what you can expect.
2. Procedure
On the day of your procedure, you can eat and perform your normal activities. The laser treatment takes about 5-30 minutes depending on the treated area. Cooling flow of air is used to keep the treatment cool and comfortable. There is no downtime and you can back to your regular activities directly following your laser hair removal.
To be completely hair-free, you will require a series of treatments 4-6 weeks apart. During the treatment time, you will want to wear sunscreen daily to avoid sunburns and you should not be treated while you are tan. Patients with darker skin tones will require more treatments than lighter skin tones.
3. Recovery
There is no down-time for this type of laser treatment. You may look a bit flushed directly after the procedure for 15-20 minutes. There are no activity restrictions after your procedure. You may apply your make-up after your procedure is finished. You may use your normal skin care routine the day of your laser treatment.
Remember that everyone is different. Recovery times and progression is not the same for everyone. The times stated are typical for healthy individuals healing from this procedure. The normal progression of healing may be different for those with health problems, smokers, and those who have unforeseen complications after a procedure.
