Hormone Replacement Therapy New Life Cosmetic Surgery & Medspa

Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is an effective way to balance estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone levels in women and testosterone in men. As you age, changes to your body from menopause, andropause, and genetic conditions can result in changes to your quality of life. Hormones can impact your weight, sleep quality, mood, and skin health. Rebalancing them can help restore energy levels and overall well-being.

Your hormones act as messengers, designed to influence specific target cells and organs. As you age, hormone production changes, and hormonal imbalances can develop. This can lead to a range of physical and emotional symptoms.

At New Life Cosmetic Surgery & Medspa, our team takes a holistic approach, personalizing each treatment plan to achieve impactful results.

About Hormone Replacement Therapy

Bioidentical hormone treatments (BHRT) are a form of hormone therapy that can address imbalances to improve your quality of life. Bioidentical hormones are chemically identical to those produced by the human body and are often derived from plant sources. BHRT for men can boost testosterone levels to improve sexual function, energy, strength, and daily performance. BHRT for women can balance the body’s estrogen, progesterone, and/or testosterone levels to improve overall health.

Hormone therapy is customizable; we can address several different hormone-related symptoms, depending on your specific needs.

Menopause

Menopause treatments can restore hormone levels to help you improve your quality of life and increase your energy levels. The changes that you undergo during menopause can affect your mental clarity and daily function. During menopause, many women experience hormone-related changes that affect their quality of life, including:

  • Low libido
  • Low energy
  • Mood changes
  • Dry skin
  • Hot flashes
  • Night sweats
  • Poor sleep quality
  • Brain fog
  • Vaginal dryness

Before beginning menopause treatments, you will need to complete our hormone test for women.

Andropause

Andropause refers to the gradual decline in testosterone levels that begins around age 30. On average, men experience up to a 1% decrease in testosterone per year, leading to a 30% decline by middle age. Common symptoms include:

  • A decline in muscle mass
  • Mood swings
  • Poor sleep quality
  • Gynecomastia
  • Weight fluctuations
  • Low libido

Andropause treatments can balance testosterone levels. We offer a hormone test for men that you will need to complete before beginning an andropause treatment.

Benefits

There are several benefits of BHRT, which include:

  • Increased energy levels: Many patients report feeling more energized after BHRT treatments, which can increase productivity.
  • Improved mood: Hormone therapy can address mood swings and improve your sleep quality, which can help stabilize your mood.
  • Weight management: Improving your endocrine system can help your body reduce stubborn fat and accelerate the weight loss process.
  • Increased libido: After balancing their hormones, both men and women can enjoy more satisfying intimate relationships.
  • Enhanced sleep quality: Balancing your hormones can help you sleep better, which can improve your health and well-being.
  • Improved cognitive function: By supporting hormone balance, many patients experience improved energy and quality of life.
  • Better skin health: Addressing changes to your hormone levels can help you improve the health of your skin.

Candidates

Suitable candidates for BHRT take good care of their health and are prepared to make lifestyle changes to support their well-being. Most candidates are experiencing some or all of these symptoms:

  • Hot flashes
  • Night sweats
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Mood fluctuations
  • Low libido
  • Weight gain
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Hair loss

Both men and women experiencing imbalances can benefit from hormone therapy. This treatment is especially helpful for individuals experiencing changes to their bodies from hormonal changes.

Treatment Process

On the day of your treatment, you should arrive in comfortable clothing with clean skin. We will cleanse your skin and apply local anesthesia for your comfort during the procedure. BHRT is a comfortable treatment that takes less than 10 minutes:

  • Hormone pellet therapy: During a hormone pellet therapy treatment, we will administer small hormone pellets beneath the skin that steadily release hormones into your bloodstream. Both the female and male testosterone pellets are the size of a large grain of rice.
  • Injections: We administer hormone injections beneath the skin to raise your hormone levels.

After Your Treatment

After your treatment, you can return home, and while this treatment does not require downtime, we may recommend that you rest to see how your body responds (depending on the type of imbalance you have). You may notice mild soreness in the treatment area for a few days. You will be able to go back to work that day.

After the treatment, you can enjoy an improvement in the symptoms you were struggling with. You can enjoy an improvement in mental clarity and an increase in energy afterward since balancing your hormones can improve your sleep quality. You can also enjoy an increase in muscle strength, and many patients find that their ability to focus improves. Patients also find that their intimate relationships and libido improve after receiving hormone treatments. The pellets slowly dissolve over time. Women will see improvement for approximately 3 months, and men for 6 months.

Semaglutide, Tirzepatide, and Retatrutide for Weight Loss

As you age, weight fluctuations can affect your quality of life. We offer different types of weight loss treatments to accelerate your metabolism and promote effective weight loss:

  • Semaglutide: With an injectable GLP-1 receptor agonist, we can help balance your blood sugar levels and increase your body’s ability to process fat more quickly.
  • Tirzepatide: With a dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist, we can help your body process excess fat by accelerating your metabolism more effectively.
  • Retatrutide: With a triple receptor hormone agonist Glucagon, GIP, and GLP-1, it’s the most effective weight loss peptide we carry.

We typically administer injectables to the skin in the abdominal area or the thigh. The type of injectable you receive will depend on your medical history and the amount of weight you would like to lose. During your consultation, we will discuss the most effective treatment plan to help you improve your well-being.
