PDO Threads
Conveniently located to serve the areas of San Antonio, Boerne and McAllen, TX
A PDO Thread Lift is a minimally invasive procedure designed to subtly and naturally lift facial features to reduce fine lines and wrinkles while encouraging collagen production for more volume in the treated areas.
The ideal candidate for a PDO thread lift is experiencing early signs of aging, such as mild wrinkling and sagging skin. Candidates desire a minimally invasive procedure with little downtime.
We do not recommend this procedure to patients with more severe signs of aging or loose facial skin that might require a more extensive procedure.

Consultation and Planning
When you come to a consultation at New Life Cosmetic Surgery Center, we will examine you and determine which thread is best for you. There are three different types of PDO Threads we offer: Mono, Cog, and Screw threads.
For patients who desire skin tightening and rejuvenation, mono threads are usually sufficient. Those who are after a more drastic lift and more volume will benefit from textured cog or screw threads.
You will discuss how this procedure works and you will be able to talk about a specific plan for your specific wants and desires.
Procedure
On the day of your treatment, your skin will be marked for insertion and direction of the inserted threads. Once marked, the points will be thoroughly anesthetized.
PDO threads will be inserted into these incision sites through a small, but long cannula, and once the thread has reached the predetermined endpoint, the thread will be released, and the cannula removed.
This process will be repeated until the desired lift has been achieved. We’ll finish by massaging the area to ensure the tissue is smooth and no dimpling is present.
Recovery
Recovery is minimal, and most patients are able to resume normal activity within a week.
You should experience little to no discomfort during or after the procedure and will notice a drastic difference in your face immediately after the procedure.
